Attention college basketball fans: It's not over yet.

The unlikely matchup in the men's national championship game on Monday night was just the opening act to a historic showdown taking place on Tuesday night. The final of the 2014 women's NCAA Tournament is the epic showdown that everyone had been hoping for all along.

The game between UConn and Notre Dame has a little bit of everything. From the bad blood between the coaches and the great players on the court to the potential disappointment of a resident assistant in Storrs, here are six reasons you should be tuning in to watch the women's basketball national championship game at 8:30 p.m. ET on ESPN on Tuesday night:

This Matchup Of Undefeated Teams Is Historic

Both Notre Dame (37-0) and UConn (39-0) will take the floor in Nashville on Tuesday night with a chance at an undefeated season. This is the first time in either men's and women's NCAA Division I basketball history that two undefeated teams will meet in the championship game. According to FiveThirtyEight.com, there haven't even been two undefeated teams to enter the men's NCAA Tournament since 1976.
Muffet McGraw vs. Geno Auriemma
Leading up to the national championship game, the tension between UConn's Geno Auriemma and Notre Dame's Muffet McGraw threatened to overshadow the talents and accomplishments of the players who would actually take the court. Neither coach has attempted to put a happier face on the heated rivalry.

"Sometimes we act like girls, like we're supposed to go to dinner every night," Auriemma told reporters on Monday. "We're supposed to play each other, try to beat each other's brains in, try to win a national championship and compete like hell, Muffet and Geno. And then we're supposed to get together afterwards and go have a bottle of wine? That shit is just not going to happen."

UConn's Breanna Stewart Is The Nation's Best Player
Breanna Stewart won the Naismith Trophy and was named the AP Player Of the Year with another stellar campaign at UConn. The standout sophomore averaged 19.4 points, 8.1 assists, and 3.0 assists per game.
But Notre Dame's Kayla McBride Is 'Like An Assassin'
Kayla McBride, Notre Dame's senior playmaker, poured in 28 points against Maryland in a national semifinal game. The 5' 11" guard is one of the most dynamic offensive players in the country and picked up a few votes in the AP Player Of The Year voting.

"She is like an assassin," Notre Dame head coach Muffet McGraw said of McBride ahead of the national title game, via The Associated Press. "I think that she's willing to throw the dagger. She wants to give you the knockout punch. She's going to compete and battle on every possession. I think it's what makes her great, and it's been fun to watch her enjoying playing the game and she plays with such passion."
Geno Auriemma vs. Pat Summitt

With a win against Notre Dame, UConn coach Geno Auriemma can break a tie with former Tennessee coach Pat Summitt for most titles won by a women’s basketball coach. Both coaches currently have eight titles. Before UConn and Notre Dame teamed up for the biggest feud in the women's game, it was UConn and Tennessee. This game has implications for both rivalries. With the women's Final Four being played in Nashville, Notre Dame could find itself with a few more fans as the title tilt goes along.
UConn's RA Derek Might Actually Be Real
Twitter
An email supposedly written by a resident assistant at a UConn dorm went viral before the men's national championship game. The note's call for calm was seemingly not heeded as students went wild as Monday night became Tuesday morning. Presumably, any real-life Derek would be pretty upset by the possibility of two weeknights of celebration.
