Powerful. Real. One. More. PROM. What a beautiful meaning for a word that today holds a much deeper significance than simply “high school dance.” PromGirl is the largest online retailer of special occasion fashions and offers an extensive selection of high-quality “in-stock” dresses at a wide-ranging price point through its online store at PromGirl.com as well as SimplyDresses.com. PromGuy is an online expert in formalwear, delivering the world’s finest designer tuxedo and suit rentals. Together, they are committed to providing outlets for teenagers to express their unique personalities through fashion. As a die-hard lover of style, I understand the profound impact fashion has on young people in its ability to let them express who they are with unbridled passion, energy, and excitement.

Influenced by today’s top trends, PromGirl and PromGuy ensure their designer collections of dresses, tuxedos, and suits are always current, reflecting a variety of styles for every personality, body shape, and size. Spectacular at its finest, the PromGirl and PromGuy show was held on Monday, February 13 at 8 PM at the iconic ArtBeam, a stunning 12,000 square feet venue, located in the heart of New York Fashion Week events.

The first prom-themed formal wear show to be held during New York Fashion Week, the PromGirl and PromGuy fashion show gave models a chance to grace the runway in gowns and tuxedos that showcased the hottest trends for the 2017 Prom Season, including a sneak preview of a future collaboration between Randy Jackson and PromGuy.com. The show featured “real” teens, not professional models, from across the country. This was an incredible move to make the brand appeal authentically to the teenagers counting down to prom. The special guest was worldwide modeling phenomenon, Madeline Stuart, the first professional model with Down Syndrome and an advocate for inclusiveness and diversity, who walked at the fashion show. She inspired the audience with her individuality, authenticity, and unique sense of self, characteristic to the PromGirl brand.

David Wilkenfeld, the CEO of PromGirl said, “It is our great privilege to provide an outlet for teen girls across the country and around the world to express themselves through fashion, and I am proud to highlight this during New York Fashion Week.” Fashion has a distinct power to empower teenagers, especially, to express their unique sense of self and broadcast their personalities, and Peter Abruzzo, CEO PromGuy believes that he wants “everyone to look and feel their best, and empower their individual style with fashion that always makes a personal statement.” So, here is to continuing to make powerful personal statements with our fashions! How will you use fashion to make your power statement?
