Hockey Player Dodges Sexual Assault Charge Because Victims Had ‘Gigantic Breasts’

But tell us more how rape culture isn't real.

According to Swedish police, an unnamed Swedish hockey player’s sexual assault case has been dropped because, apparently, the women he assaulted had breasts that were large enough to warrant an accidental groping.

The hockey player, from the Björklöven hockey club in northern Sweden, allegedly draped his arms around two women and groped their breasts in a nightclub in Östersund. But the investigator of the case, Mikael Lundberg, believes that the women just happened to have large enough breasts to accidentally be groped.

In a statement to Swedish newspaper Expressen quoted by The Independent, he said the following:

With regard to the sexual molestation, they were standing at a bar table and then he comes along drunk and drapes his arms around both of them from behind, and then he happens to touch one of their breasts.

And it should be noted that they had gigantic breasts. It wasn’t hard to brush up against them.

If you’re drunk and drape yourself over someone, well, you can understand how it might have happened.

The only silver lining is that the player in question has reportedly been suspended from the hockey club.

Björklöven club director Joakim Gustafsson said that being “so drunk that you don’t know what you’re doing is to go way over the line of what’s acceptable...If we’re going to be a club for everybody we need to keep working to counteract macho culture and become more welcoming.”

A former Swedish prosecutor, Sven-Erik Alhem has also chimed in on the case, encouraging the women to appeal and saying, “An investigator has to be objective and weigh the plaintiff’s’ testimony against the defendant’s; there shouldn’t be any room for speculation. This is absurd and incredibly offensive.”
