Poop-Themed Dessert Bar Will Serve You Treats Shaped Like ... Well, You Know

One intrepid dessert cafe has decided to boldly go where no cafe has gone before: serving customers poop-inspired treats.

The Poop Café Dessert Bar is opening in Toronto this month with the aim of making poop great again. The menu will offer traditional Asian desserts in the shape of stool. While this idea may churn your stomach, the focus on poop is important to owner Lien Nguyen.

“I’m trying to make poop cute,” Nguyen told The Toronto Star.

Diners will be invited to sit on fake toilets and eat their poo-inspired desserts out of toilet-shaped dishes. Nguyen hopes that the experience will destigmatize our bodies’ natural digestive processes.

“[It’s] considered very disgusting, [something] you can’t talk about when you’re eating,” Nguyen told The Star.

While Nguyen’s idea may seem out of the brown blue, this is not the first time cafes have tried a toilet theme. Modern Toilet in Taiwan serves drinks in glasses shaped like urinals. The Crazy Toilet Cafe opened last year in Moscow, but was ultimately replaced by a replica of SpongeBob SquarePants’ Krusty Krab eatery.

Is Canada ready to embrace the excrement? Only time will tell.
