Being a vegetarian in this meat-centric world can be tough. When barbecue and bacon reign supreme, it’s hard for people to wrap their heads around what a plate without meat is all about. It’s not all salads, guys, we can assure you that.
Vegetarians are faced with not only having to navigate a world where meat is hiding in all kinds of surprising dishes ― watch out for the duck fat potatoes ― but it also means living in a world where people ask stupid questions. (By the way, yes, most vegetarians do get enough protein.) It’s not easy, and these 15 tweets sum up the struggle perfectly.
