Domestic Violence is Insidious!

In new Bestseller, UNREPORTED, Veera Mahajan

Shares Her Journey to Break Free From Abuse!

Worldwide, at least one in every three women has been beaten, coerced into sex or otherwise abused during her lifetime. Most often, the abuser is a member of her own family. In this new bestseller, UNREPORTED: Domestic Abuse is an UNREPORTED crime and Learning to L.I.V.E. free is a journey.

Veera Mahajan shares with the readers her years of abuse; until finally one day, she could not tolerate it any longer. Her journey is one of courage and hope to those who find themselves in an abusive situation.

Although both men and women can be abused, in most cases, the victims are women. Domestic violence knows no boundaries. It is a cancer. It does not discriminate against age, color, race, gender, financial status, education or sexual preference. Domestic violence usually starts with emotional abuse and then progresses to physical or sexual assault. Children, who try to intervene to protect the adult victim, are put in dangerous situations. Witnessing such violent actions is mentally damaging and causes a plethora of future problems.

Veera Mahajan shares her story because she lived through the horror of domestic violence and abuse for over forty years before she decided to stop accepting it. The stories in this book are an amalgamation of experiences from men and women who have been there too. They, with Mahajan, have all chosen to fight abuse and are now living wonderfully free lives.

Veera Mahajan’s mission is to increase awareness of domestic abuse and eradicate this cancer from society by empowering women and men who are suffering due to this epidemic disease.

Mahajan speaks out to let those who are in abusive relationships know that there is a better life out there for them. Through her book, UNREPORTED, Mahajan shows victims how to break the abuse cycle and helps them understand and believe that they truly deserve a life in freedom and self-love.

“We go to the gym when we want to get into physical shape. We also must try to achieve emotional shape as well as a good spiritual condition. I highly recommend this brilliantly written book to you all. I think that it is very important for us all. Love and Peace, always.”
~ Oscar winner, Louis Gossett, Jr.
