Kate Hudson Stuns On Harper's Bazaar December Cover

In the issue, the star talks about balancing her career and motherhood.

Kate Hudson has been everywhere lately, and by the end of the month, she'll be staring at us in the checkout line at the grocery store from the cover of Harper's Bazaar.

The actress appears on the fashion magazine's December 2015 issue looking gorgeous and radiant as ever. If that smile doesn't make you want to buy into whatever trends the issue is selling for the holidays, we don't know what will. (Subscribers get a different cover, which features an equally gorgeous image of Hudson in a flowing pink dress.)

Inside the issue, the "Kung Fu Panda 3" actress talks about balancing her career and being a mother.

"I think a lot of people, especially when you’re a woman, you have kids, and work on movies, it’s hard because you’re away from them. There’s nothing lazy about it," she told the magazine. "You go to work, get on the first plane home even if it’s for eight hours, go back to work. I don’t want to be away from my family, I love it so much. I just enjoy being on movie sets."

She also revealed the surprising thing that's always in her purse.

"I always have Lego men in my purse. When I’m traveling and I’m not with my kids, I look in my purse and there are, like, five Lego men."

Hudson, who's single for the first time in five years, is at peace with where she is in her life right now.

"I've chosen something in my life that I'm very comfortable with that goes against a lot of people's more traditional feelings," she said. "I don't believe in maintaining something for the sake of what's considered a traditional family, because I believe that there are different ways to raise children. It's far more effective to raise children in happy homes."

If all the videos and pics she shares of her and her boys on Instagram (an account she manages herself) are any indication, we'd say they seem pretty happy.
