The storefront church has been part of the American landscape for the last century. Historically African Americans who didn't have the financial foundation to construct great cathedrals used store fronts to build places of worship. In Southwest Detroit, Latinos have followed the tradition and are taking over former businesses. In the process they're creating the fastest growing segment of Evangelism in America.
