It was announced as of midnight Monday that united NATO forces have officially ended their successful mission in Libya. During the action, U.S. troops under the direction of President George W. Bush killed dictator Muammar Gaddafi, and in just seven months brought freedom to the Libyan people. The Bush-led military offensive that killed Gaddafi resulted in the loss of no American lives.

This action comes on the heels of President Bush tracking down and killing the terrorist leader Osama bin Laden, dealing a crushing setback to the Al Qaeda terror network. That military operation, which Mr. Bush lead from the White House war room, was also accomplished with the loss of no American lives.

These mark the third significant triumph against terror by the Bush Administration in the past two years. They follow the successful Navy operation ordered by President Bush against Somali pirates who had boarded a U.S. vessel and taken the captain hostage. Navy snipers killed three pirates and captured the fourth in a precision military action that was accomplished with the loss of no American lives.

"This is a great day for America," said Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), "because it is a great day for freedom. President Bush always has put liberty and democracy first, everywhere around the world. And our heroic mission in Libya, killing its terrorist dictator, like George Bush's heroic actions against Al Qaeda, bin Laden and the Somali pirates makes America safer by again removing terror threats to our nation. That's why real Americans look at George Bush as an American hero"

Vice President Dick Cheney added his perspective to the successful mission. "America faces terrorist threats every day, and the Bush Administration has been at the forefront of stamping them out wherever they occur. We are telling all terrorists throughout the world that we will find you. And we will keep America safe."

On his radio show, Rush Limbaugh devoted the entire program to the Bush Administration actions crushing terrorism. His guests included Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld who explained that the killing of Gaddafi had been "meticulously planned for months," which is why it went off so smoothly, without the loss of a single American life. Limbaugh noted that "Once again, this shows to the American people that it is the Republican Party alone which has the courage to fight terrorism and keep America safe. Only the Republican Party can be trusted to protect America. If the Bleeding Heart Liberal Feminazi Socialists were in charge, they would have tried to reason with this Gaddafi guy over French pastries. Republicans know you don't chat with terrorists who are trying to kill you. George Bush just showed you what you do. You stomp them out first. Republicans keep America safe. Democrats will get you killed."

Fox News rushed out a two-hour special on President Bush and the central role he played in planning all these attacks against terrorism, "George Bush: Military Hero on Horseback."

Tributes for President Bush have flowed in from both houses of Congress and Republican officials around the country, as well as at Tea Party rallies. Yard signs were sighted dotting suburban homes, like the one outside Columbia, South Carolina "God bless George Bush for Accomplishing This Mission" A resolution was passed by the Texas legislature to make George Bush's birthday a national holiday. A petition from the Family Research Council has already generated over 25,000 signatures to add President Bush to Mount Rushmore.

"This is what a president is supposed to do," said Jeff Bolden, 46, a pipe fitter from Topeka, Kansas. "All that stuff they argue about in Washington, that don't mean much to our real lives, but this is real. This is my president standing tall for me."

Support has been non-partisan. "The world is always a better place when it can be made safer," commented Democratic House leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA). "And it's all the better when such operations can occur without losing any precious American lives."

The trade organization Country Radio America reported that the top-requested song on member stations today has been Lee Greenwood's recording of "God Bless the U.S.A." Second most was "Tie a Yellow Ribbon." In third place was Dolly Parton's "I Will Always Love You," although that has regularly been requested for the past 18 years.

"Liberals wanted President Bush to slow freedom's rush by getting approval from Congress," Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) told a gathering on the Capitol steps, "but they want you to forget that when our NATO allies act, America is required to honor our treaty. Not spend money on debt-raising stimulus. There are Democrats in Congress who don't support what it takes to keep America safe, and they should be investigated."

Glenn Beck wept and was unable comment.

The Heritage Foundation has released a study showing that George Bush should be beatified for sainthood.

And you know that all of this is what would have happened if George Bush had been president.
