'The Bachelor': Anderson Cooper Is Not A Fan (VIDEO)

Anderson Cooper Rips 'The Bachelor'

Anderson Cooper is not a fan of "The Bachelor." Tuesday on his daytime talk show "Anderson Live," Cooper blasted the ABC reality dating competition, which is currently in the midst of its seventeenth season.

"Can somebody please explain to me why anyone: A) Watches this show, and B) Thinks this is real."

Continuing his rant with guest co-host Regina King, Cooper added, "Haven't we learned that this is just fake? These people don't stay together, they don't even last together for the reunion show. This show, I just don't understand."

Cooper then joked that he suspects some of "The Bachelors" might actually be gay. "That's how real this show is ... I would be 'The Bachelor' trying to decide among all these lovely ladies, that's how real it would be," Cooper quipped. "And I gotta say, there've been a couple of those 'Bachelors' that I've been like, 'I don't think he's really ... I keep saying, 'Isn't that 'Bachelor' checking out Chris Harrison?'"

Cooper has a point about the longevity of "Bachelor" relationships. The last "Bachelor" couple, Ben Flajnik and Courtney Robertson, broke up in October after dating for nine months. Before that, "Bachelor" Jason Mesnick dumped his fiance Melissa Rycroft on the show's "After The Rose" live special.
