Roberto Martinez To Be The Next 'Bachelor': REPORT

Roberto Martinez Tapped As Next 'Bachelor'?

Former "Bachelorette" winner Roberto Martinez may be headed back to the small screen. According to reports, Martinez, who broke off his engagement to "Bachelorette" Ali Fedotowsky last fall, has been tapped as ABC's next "Bachelor."

"They chose him because he's very likable," an insider told Life & Style.

Martinez was a contestant on the sixth season of "The Bachelor" in 2010, vying for Fedotowsky's heart. He certainly succeeded, as he received the final rose and the pair became engaged in Bora Bora during the show's finale. The couple was planning a summer wedding in 2011, but their nuptials were postponed due to a injury sustained by Fedotowsky.

"We had a date set, and that date has now passed," Fedotowsky told People in August. "The decision to postpone [the wedding] was very difficult. I definitely shed some tears."

A few months later, there was no wedding update from the couple, with the former "Bachelorette" telling People at the time that they "just don't feel the need to walk down the aisle right now."

After rumblings that their relationship was on the rocks, the couple confirmed their split in November.
