It was a dream assignment for the designers on "Project Runway," but for one of them it seemed to quickly become a surreal nightmare. They were tasked with making dresses to complement more than $30 million worth of jewels. The designers got to see the gems on the runway and then choose their favorites to work with. But it all proved too much for Sandro.
Right before the show, while trying to steam his dress, Sandro seemed to completely lose it. He started swearing when he ran into difficulty and abruptly grabbed a crew member.
“Come here, come. Come come come. Start fixing this," Sandro demanded. He must have completely lost his bearings, because there's no way this is allowed.
“I have to step out right now, I have to step out," the confused crew member said. "I have no idea.”
Entertainment Weekly's Jacqueline Andriakos was stunned by this "epic" meltdown. "He drags a PRODUCTION CREW MEMBER INTO THE WORKROOM TO HELP HIM WORK THE STEAMER. WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!” Yes, all of those capital letters were hers!
After all of that, though, things worked out pretty well for Sandro. The judges liked his design and he was safe for the week. But there's probably at least one member of the crew who won't be getting too close in the future.
The competition continues on "Project Runway," Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on Lifetime.
