Pitchfork Festival 2012: Tickets On Sale Friday (PHOTOS)

Pitchfork Festival Tickets Now On Sale

Tickets to the 2012 edition of the Pitchfork Music Festival went on sale at noon Friday.

Set to take over Chicago's Union Park July 13-15, the festival will feature acts including Vampire Weekend, Feist, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Hot Chip and more to be announced at a later date.

As for who will round out that lineup, the Chicago Reader's Gossip Wolf column offered up some thoughts on who they expected to see added last month including Spiritualized, Sharon Van Etten, Sleigh Bells, Azealia Banks and possibly, as this year's "nostalgia" act, Mazzy Star or Fiona Apple -- a prediction that would come as welcome news to the many Apple fans who missed out on tickets to the angsty singer's upcoming Lincoln Hall show.

Three-day passes have sold out in less than a week in years past -- in less than 24 hours last year, in fact -- so prospective attendees would be wise to pounce while they're still available.

Check out the Pitchfork festival acts named so far. More than 30 acts have yet to be announced.
