A 20-year-old aspiring pharmacist was shot and killed early Saturday morning at a party in St. Louis.
Nicholas Kapusniak was shot once in the torso. An ambulance was called, but rescuers pronounced the St. Louis College of Pharmacy student dead at the scene, according to KTVI.

The shooting happened where a group of students from the St. Louis College of Pharmacy were gathered in the back yard for a party. A white sedan drove up and an unknown occupant of the vehicle fired gunshots. The vehicle fled the scene to the east.
The Rev. Paul Hartmann, president of Wisconsin's Catholic Memorial High School, spoke to WISN about Kapusniak, his former student.
"Just always seemingly involved in sports, involved in clubs, friends to everybody, he was one of those kids that never really fit into an exact niche of a group and floated among lots of groups of friends," Hartmann said.
Kapusniak's friends described him as "happy-go-lucky" and someone with no enemies, according to KMOV.

Kapusniak was one of three people killed on Saturday morning in the St. Louis area.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that Reginald Snow, 30, and Stephanie Eaisley, 30 were found shot dead at a home in Wellston, Mo. Wellston is on the northwest border of St. Louis. Snow and Eaisley's deaths are thought to be drug related, the Post-Dispatch reports.
St. Louis is one of the most violent cities in the country, according to Law Street. With 1,776.46 violent crimes per 100,000 people, St. Louis had the third-highest violent crime rate in the nation during 2012, according to Law Street, though that rate is down 20 percent in the first six months of 2013 compared to the same time period in 2012.
