Photo Series Proves That New Yorkers Have The Weirdest Neighbors

So Basically, New Yorkers Have The Weirdest Neighbors

Most neighbors pop in for a cup of sugar, holler at you to keep the noise down, or wave hello while watering the roses. This is not the case, however, in New York. In case there was any doubt on this subject, photographer Monica Lek is here to prove that New Yorkers have the most wonderfully weird neighbors out there.

Lek's deliciously colorful photo series, entitled "My Neighbors," shows just what a strange bunch New Yorkers can be. The Barcelona-born artist captures a hilarious variety of images at once bizarre and mundane, from a garden dweller in Lolita garb to a bored looking woman seated behind a massive pile of bacon. Only in New York is a sweet old man in a polo shirt a stranger sight than a subway-riding clown.

Behold, all the proof you need that New Yorkers make the weirdest neighbors.
