If you're operating a chainsaw naked, you may not be the sharpest tool in the shed.
Lindsay Medd Stevens has been arrested by police in Knoxville, Tenn., for indecent exposure after his neighbor saw him cutting a tree down -- while completely in the buff, according to WBIR-TV.
Knox County sheriff's deputy Scott Ritch told WATE-TV that he saw Stevens standing completely nude in his yard cutting a tree, only to run inside his house when he saw the officer.
This isn't the first time that Stevens has been caught doing yard work in the buff. Neighbors told sheriffs that they've seen his 5-foot, 11-inch, 210-pound body sans clothes several times in the past, Newsday reported.
When Stevens saw the officer, he ran inside his house.
A neighbor had called the sheriff's office to complain about Stevens, who reportedly had been seen naked in his yard by neighbors several times in the past, according to Newsday.
For neighbors, the arrest culminates years of community embarrassment caused by Stevens regularly traipsing about his property in the buff.
"It's so common it's become the neighborhood joke, which is really sad," Susan Geissberger griped to KnoxNews.com.
"Our biggest concern has been the kids getting off the bus and they can see him."
Geissberger said Stevens' regularly swims naked and is unclad as he enters and exits the water, and he's "been known to mow his yard with a riding mower in the nude."
Stevens, 46, was released on $750 bond and is set to appear in court July 19, presumedly clothed.
