This one-minute excerpt comes from a special colloquium celebrating the 25th anniversary of the SETI Institute.

Watch a video of Jie Li giving a one-minute summary of his work.

2010-09-22-LiJie.jpg Jie Li joined the SETI Institute and the Carl Sagan Center in 2008 as a scientific programmer in the Kepler Science Operation Center. He works on the Photometer Performance Assessment (PPA) software component of the Kepler science data processing pipeline. There are two main tasks for PPA: one is to analyze the health and performance of the Kepler instrument, and the other is to determine the attitude of the Kepler spacecraft with high precision. PPA is demonstrated to work effectively with the Kepler flight data.
