Eater Launches Atlanta, Dallas And Houston Food Sites

Eater Goes South With Three New Sites

Food blog Eater, part of the Curbed Network of websites, announced today that it has launched three new local food sites across the South. The new blogs, for Atlanta, Dallas and Houston, join existing feeds covering Miami and Austin. The new entrants are a sign both of the increasing ambition of restaurants in smaller cities around the country, and of the Curbed Network's aspirations for a widened national audience.

The launch of these three sites brings the total number of Eater properties to 12. The new focus on restaurants in the South is interesting in light of the rise of Southern food in Eaters' base markets in New York and LA. It's almost as if Eater, prompted by the rise in popularity of fried chicken and ribs, has decided to go back to the original source for new scoops.
