Angels Fan Learns Very Quickly That Players Aren't Supposed To Be Touched

Fan Learns Quickly That You're Not Supposed To Touch Baseball Players

An Angels fan needed to be reminded on Friday night that spectators aren't allowed to touch players during the game. After Mets outfielder Curtis Granderson caught a fly ball by the right field foul pole, a fan at Angel Stadium of Anaheim touched his back as he was about to throw it toward the infield.

That didn't appear to sit well with Granderson, who held the ball and immediately turned around to confront the fan. The man was escorted out of the stadium by security shortly after altercation, per Newsday.

"He touched me," Granderson told Newsday after the game. "Then I turned around and he's like, 'I didn't mean to.' I said, 'Hey, just don't touch me.' So that was it. Say whatever you want to say, boo, cheer, clap, cheer for your team, cheer for the other team. But just don't physically touch players."
