What a year.

Broken Social Scene announced a final show, Merle Haggard and Kris Kristofferson shared a stage, the life of Hazel Dickens was honored and hundreds of thousands of people crowded Golden Gate Park together. All in all, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass 2011 was a success.

And between the family-friendly environment, home-baked pies for sale, after-festival shows at local venues and weekend-long party in the park, San Franciscans had plenty to celebrate long after the music ended.
