For many sports fans, the onset of fall only means one thing: It's football season! While I'm more of a soccer and tennis fan myself, I still enjoying catching some football games when I get the chance. What this time of year is particularly great for is getting together with friends and family, whether it's to watch football on TV or to tailgate right before the game (maybe after it too!).

Although I may not know a lot about football, I do know a lot about food! As a result, not many people ask me to join their fantasy leagues, but they will come to me for suggestions on what to serve for guests for a weekly Sunday get-together. I always suggest something fast and simple so you have more time to share with friends; and when we think of the ultimate food to serve for a football game, only one thing comes to mind -- wings! Chicken wings are the ultimate party food and are a sure-fire favorite among even the pickiest eaters, like kids and meat-loving guys! Wings are fairly easy to prepare and the variations are endless. With so many different options to flavor wings with, you can always put your own touch to them and make them into your signature dish.

I've put together, with the help of Food Republic, eight of my favorite wing recipes that would go perfect for a football get together or any party for that matter.

Don't forget to pair any of these wings with crudités like celery and carrots for a healthy side dish (unless you're feeling like indulging, in which case try pairing wings with a gooey queso dip!).
