It's the ultimate meeting of the minds: From Tuesday to Thursday in New York, The Clinton Global Initiative brings together leaders from around the globe to tackle some of the world's most pressing problems.

Established by former President Bill Clinton in 2005, the annual meeting connects heads of states, philanthropists, NGO directors, Nobel Prize laureates and many others.

This year's initiative focuses on jobs, sustainable consumption and empowering women and girls.

The meeting was kicked off Tuesday with some big events, including Hilary Clinton urging the U.S to join a treaty on women's rights and a special session on disaster preparedness.

Wednesday's highlights include a discussion on humanitarian leadership with Aung San Suu Kyi, general secretary of the National League for Democracy and Archbishop Desmond M. Tutu. Thursday's notable speakers include Chelsea Clinton and actress Geena Davis discussing technology for economic empowerment. The Clinton family will hold a closing session in the afternoon. RSVP to webcasts here.

In addition, Randi Zuckerberg, CEO of R to Z Media, is conducting a series of live interviews with global leaders attending the event. Over the course of the three day-meeting, Zuckerberg will take questions from Facebook and Twitter. Participants range from economist Muhammad Yunus to singer and humanitarian Mandy Moore.
