Spring is on the way and it's a perfect time to discuss applying flower essence therapy to aid in meditation. Focusing on the color and scent of flowers is a strong way to amp up your experience while in the altered state of mindfulness. It makes setting the tone for your session all the more easier. I have personally used scent to activate my awareness as to the intention I want to create during that special time when I am at one with myself. Flowers can be tranquil and offer us ways to enhance our feelings so that we are more in tune with them. Here are some flowers you can tap into for meditating.

Daffodil - These lovely yellow flowers are known for ushering in spring. The scent is mild and uplifting and the color is indicative of the energy of creativity and emotional balance. Having these around can help you to bring new ideas and thought processes into the light for action to take place.

Lilies - Known for representing virtue and friendship, the white ones can offer you a feeling of connecting with divine guidance with the aura of clarity and calm. The yellow may open you up to creativity and balance.

Rose - As many a florist advertises, these colorful beauties can offer passion, love and positive feelings.

Though each flower may smell very different, the fact that you are in an atmosphere of the divine scent of nature is enough to keep present a mindset to you that will allow you to feel comfortable with meditating. Experiment with different flowers in the area you are meditating in and you may find a new feeling of calm and positive vibrations opening up to you
