Javaris Crittenton Murder Charges: Gilbert Arenas Tweets About Ex-Teammate

Gilbert Arenas Tweets About Ex-Teammate's Murder Charges

The Atlanta Police Department announced last Friday night that former NBA player Javaris Crittenton has been charged with murder after a woman was fatally shot. This is not the first time that Crittenton has been publicly linked to guns.

Crittenton, who played for the Washington Wizards and Charlotte Bobcats, was suspended by the NBA in 2010 for bringing a gun into the locker room as part of an on-going dispute with then-teammate Gilbert Arenas.

"I really wanna say sumthing but i wont becuz theirs a dead woman involved," he wrote on his Twitter page. It was later retweeted by Jose3030 and reported by Royce Young of CBS Sports.

The Orlando Magic guard immediately deleted the tweet and said, "Back to being normal." This tweet was also deleted shortly after posting.

This isn't the first time Arenas has posted controversial tweets. In July, he caused a stir by tweeting about his 2010 gun suspension: "Being in the nba u see everything...what i got in trouble for ive seen over a dozens times.."

Not surprisingly, Arenas has eventually deleted just about every one of his tweets over the years.

The dispute between Arenas and Crittenton reportedly started on a Wizards charter flight when the two got in an argument over a card game. It was later reported that the teammates drew guns on each other in the locker room shortly thereafter.

Crittenton eventually pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor gun possession charge in relation that incident but stands accused of a much more heinous crime.
