Hurricane Irene From Space: Astronauts Observe 'One Scary Big Storm' (VIDEO)

'That Is One Scary Big Storm'

Just after NASA released video of Hurricane Irene from space, another one has surfaced.

This time, however, it includes commentary from the stunned astronauts as they communicate with misson control in Houston.

"That is one scary big storm," one astronaut from the International Space Station told ground control.

"Wow, um, we're...is there any word on the expectations for further strengthening before additional landfall?"

East coast residents are already taking precautions like stocking up on supplies, and evacuating high-risk areas. Some states governors have even declared states of emergency.

The storm, with winds of 115 mph, would be the strongest hurricane strike the East Coast has seen in seven years.
