Terrelle Pryor Drafted By Raiders: Former Ohio State QB Selected In 3rd Round Of NFL Supplemental Draft (VIDEO)

Raider Nation Welcomes Its Newest Member

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Oakland Raiders have selected Terrelle Pryor in the 3rd round of the NFL supplemental draft.

Pryor, who will be suspended for the first five games of his NFL career, reportedly ran an unofficial 40-yard dash time of 4.38 during his pro day on Saturday--a number that likely sparked the interest of the speed-obsessed Al Davis.

There are concerns as to whether Pryor will have the ability to play QB at the next level -- he often struggled with accuracy during his college career -- but some analysts, including Mel Kiper, project the 6'6" 235 pound athlete as a tight end in the NFL.

According to Schefter, the Raiders have drafted the player with the fastest 40-yard dash time at the past three NFL combines.

The Raiders will have to forfeit a 3rd round pick in the 2012 NFL Draft in exchange for the rights to Pryor.

UPDATE: Pryor happened to be the only pick in this year’s supplemental draft.
