Will Massachusetts' Alimony Laws Be Reformed?

BOSTON (AP) - Massachusetts lawmakers are set to take up a bill intended to reform the alimony system in the state.

The bill scheduled for debate in the House of Representative on Wednesday would, among other things, end so-called "lifetime alimony" payment ordered by some judges in divorce cases. It also caps how much one spouse can be ordered to pay another.
