Free Beer For Life If You Fund This Kickstarter

Kickstarter offers are often a mishmash of things the funder doesn't want or need, but accepts as a way to support a cause. However there's one offer too good for anyone to pass up -- free beer.

A group of friends are raising funds to open a clam shack in Brooklyn's Gowanus neighborhood, and they know the easiest way to someone's pocketbook is through booze. There are multiple levels of free beer one can achieve, from a single free beer for a $10 donation, to a lifetime of beer every time you visit the restaurant for a $5,000 donation. As is the trick with Kickstarter, the whole project must be funded for the money to be used, so no one gets a beer if they don't reach their goal.

The group is opening Littleneck as the first New England style shack of its kind in Brooklyn -- and they promise not to get its seafood out of the notoriously polluted Gowanus Canal. They see the project not only as a fun culinary adventure, but as a way to change the way business is operated in the area, raising funding to purchase eco-friendly kitchen equipment, reclaimed wood, counter tops, light fixtures, and furniture for their dining room.

"We realize that our efforts alone won't cause an overnight change in the way the vast majority of businesses operate but by standing steadfast with a few guiding principles we hope to be part of a chain reaction that will change the way people look at their relationship with the foods they eat and how that fits into the larger picture of the world we live in," reads their Kickstarter page.

Check out the kickstarter and donate to get some beer!
