Comedy Central Roast Of Charlie Sheen Announced

WATCH: Comedy Central Announces Roast Of Charlie Sheen

Is Charlie Sheen prepared to sit quietly for two hours while comedians and ill-wishers alike mercilessly hurl insults in his direction? We're going to find out.

Comedy Central has just announced that the warlock himself will be the subject of the next "Comedy Central Roast," and according to Sheen, it will be one to remember:

"You could say I've been providing kindling for this Roast for a while," said Sheen. "It's time to light it up. It's going to be epic."

Indeed. The event is expected to be so epic, in fact, that it already has its own hashtag: #SheenRoast. More importantly, the network has already made it clear that there will be no pulled punches: "Charlie has assured us that nothing will be off limits in this Roast... which scares even us," said Kent Alterman, head of Comedy Central's original programming and production.

The Roastmaster and roasters who will get the honor of boiling Sheen's tiger blood are yet to be announced, but past roasters who could turn up again include Jeffrey Ross, Lisa Lampanelli, Whitney Cummings and Snoop Dogg, to name a few.

Ross has already taken his fair share of shots at Sheen, having turned up at multiple stops to save the day on the actor's much-maligned "Violent Torpedo Of Truth" Tour, so he gets our vote for Roastmaster. We're also keeping our fingers crossed for Jon Cryer and Emilio Estevez.

"The Roast Of Charlie Sheen" is scheduled to tape in Los Angeles on Saturday, September 10, and it will premiere on Comedy Central on Monday, September 19 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT.

To whet your appetite, here's a mashup of some of Charlie's greatest hits from his tour:
