NYPD Saves Woman From Jumping Off One Essex Street In Lower East Side (Video)

Police saved a woman at the last second from jumping off the building at One Essex Street in the Lower East Side today. Detective Madelyn McTague, of the Emergency Units Service, told the VIllage Voice, "She just had a series of bad things happen to her," adding "she was sad."

In the intense video below, a crowd watches from the street as the distraught woman, in her 20's, begins to hang off the edge of the roof when police grab her right before she's about to fall.
