Few things that you put your in pie-hole will ever cost you as much as something as seemingly as simple as the most expensive hotdog the world. But if you aim to wrap your lips around this pricey, savory treat, it will set you back $169 smackers.

A Seattle-based Tokyo Dog food truck recently unveiled what has been now ranked as the world's most expensive hot dog by Guinness World Records -- a flavorful, culinary masterpiece that few people can afford to try. However, it should also be noted that the food truck was donating all proceeds to the local Red Cross - so some good assuredly came out of the fact that people opened up their pockets this deep to eat something that is seemingly a simple American food fare.

The hotdog is called the Juuni Ban. Its constituents include the following: smoked cheese bratwurst, butter Teriyaki grilled onions, Maitake mushrooms, Wagyu beef, foie gras, shaved black truffles, caviar and Japanese mayonnaise. These ingredients are nestled in a soft Brioche bun.

The catch with being listed in the Guinness World Records is that the vendor had to sell one or more of these hotdogs as a standard transaction. That ended up being a nonissue for him because he was able to actually sell six of them, ultimately leading to him making a donation to Red Cross in the amount of $1,014.

Don't expect to just waltz up this hotdog vendor and request one, though. That's because they are special order only. The vendor requires at least a two week notice so they can order the necessary supplies.

If you think this is overpriced, wait until you have a gander at the most expensive whiskey in the world ($460,000). Or clean out your bank accounts with the most expensive dessert in the world ($3.95 million).

Don't forget to wash it all down with the most expensive beer in the world ($275). If you prefer wine instead, the most expensive wine in the world only runs about $310,00.

Life's good when money is of no object.
