Khory Gagner, Nacho Bandit, Gets Concurrent Community Corrections Sentence

Nacho Bandit Who Inadvertently Set Fire To Bar Gets Sentenced

Khory Gagner, the 22-year-old El Jebel resident who drunkenly set fire to an Aspen sports bar while making nachos, was sentenced to three years of community service Monday for an unrelated crime. He will serve the sentence concurrently with a community corrections term received for the nacho incident.

The Aspen Daily News reports that Gagner's nacho quest began after imbibing 40 ounces of Jagermeister and 16 beers. Drunk and hungry, Gagner first searched for food at the El Jebel City Market and Wendy's, but both were closed.

Rebuffed, he broke into the "Fine Line Bar and Grill," proceeded to drink more and make nachos. Gagner placed onions, cheese, bacon, pepperoni, and four bags of tortilla chips into the pizza oven, which caught fire and triggered a fire-suppression system.

The owners of Fine Line reviewed security camera footage the following day. An employee recognized Gagner and apprehended him after he attempted to flee but tripped on his baggy clothing.
