'Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3' Trailer: New Game Out November 8 (VIDEO)

WATCH: Modern Warfare 3 Trailer

The "Modern Warfare 3" trailer that made its TV debut during last night's NBA playoff game between the Dallas Mavericks and Oklahoma City Thunder has legions of video game fans counting down the days until November 8, when the latest installment of the "Call of Duty" series will be released.

Based on the trailer, the game will feature settings of America, England, France and Germany.

The game opens moments after the cliffhanger ending of Modern Warfare 2 with the U.S. struggling to stave off a surprise Russian attack. The single-player campaign will ping-pong players around the world as they take on the multiple throwaway roles as a Russian Federal Protective Services agent, SAS Operative, tank gunner, and AC-130 gunner as well as key characters from previous installments and new recurring characters.

Electronic Theatre reported on Friday that "Modern Warfare 3" will cost £54.99 ($88.99), although that is significantly higher than the $60 release price for previous "Call of Duty" games. In any case, if past sales of the "Call of Duty" franchise are any indication, "Modern Warfare 3" is all but certain to shatter records. "Call of Duty: Black Ops," the last release in the series, broke records in November when it brought in $360 million the first 24 hours it was on sale.
