The police have arrested a man in Albany for a Brooklyn murder caught on video. Two weeks ago the NYPD released graphic footage (see below) of Andre Pitts being followed by a man out of an elevator and then getting repeatedly shot in the hallway. Another camera then captured the shooting suspect calmly walking away from the crime scene.
Tipsters who saw the video helped the NYPD identify Djavan Perry as the killer.
WCBS 2 reports that police have arrested 20 year-old Perry, who was staying with a relative in Albany. He is being charged with first-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon. There is no report yet as to why Perry killed Pitts.
