The Greenest Colleges 2011: Princeton Review List

The Greenest Colleges

Is your school ready for Earth Day?

This year, the Princeton Review partnered with the U.S. Green Building Council to evaluate 703 postsecondary institutions in the U.S. and Canada, and found less than half worthy of inclusion in their "Guide To 311 Green Colleges" (PDF).

The Princeton Review and USGBC evaluated the schools according to their responses to ten questions about their green academic programs, environmentally friendly practices and commitment to sustainability. Of the schools that ranked, 18 earned top marks and a spot on the Princeton Review's "honor roll," and ten were highlighted for their innovative approach to campus sustainability.

The guide profiles each of the 311 schools, providing general institutional statistics and responses to the survey questions, as well as green highlights and facts about the school.

Check out the report (PDF) for the full list of schools plus more on methodology.
