NHL Defenseman Suffers Concussion After Big Collision

Vancouver Canucks defenseman Dan Hamhuis suffered a concussion in the first period of Sunday's game against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Just six minutes into the game, Vancouver's Kevin Bieksa checked Rick Nash and the Blue Jackets winger collided with Hamhuis.

The 28-year-old immediately fell on his stomach and after the game, coach Alain Vigneault announced that Hamhuis had suffered his second concussion of the season. This is his fourth concussion of the six-year veteran's career.
