Darrelle Revis On Ochocinco: I Want Chad To Be A Jet

Jets Player: I Want Ochocinco On Our Team

Instead of shutting down Ochocinco next NFL season, if there is one, New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis would rather have the Cincinnati Bengals receiver join his team.

Revis told New York Metro over the weekend of the Super Bowl that he has started to lobby for Ochocinco to join the Jets.

"I want Chad to come here and play for us, to be a Jet," Revis said. "I've been in his ear a lot about it this week. I think he could do well here. I've been telling him to come here."

Two weeks ago on his talk show, Ochocinco said he would do "anything to play for someone like Rex Ryan or anyone who has that type of mentality."

Chad has been in an ongoing feud with Bengals coach Marvin Lewis since late December when he referred to Ochocinco as "mopey."

The 33-year-old fired back on twitter, saying "Did anyone get the license plate to the bus I was just threw under?"

Lewis took a shot at Chad in January, claiming that Bill Belichick is smart enough not to pursue the star receiver. That led to Ochocinco challenging his coach to a cage match.
