Elizabeth Edwards Will: John Edwards Cut Out

Elizabeth Edwards Left Ex-Husband John Out Of Her Will

Elizabeth Edwards's final will and testament reveals she left nothing to her cheating husband John Edwards, who fathered a child with a Democratic campaign aide during his 2008 bid for the presidential nomination.

John was not mentioned once in the will; instead, the couple's oldest daughter Cate was named executor, and everything was left to the couple's three children.

"All of my furniture, furnishings, household goods, jewelry, china, silverware and personal effects and any automobiles owned by me at the time of my death I give and bequeath to my children," the will states. Edwards reportedly signed the document on December 1, merely six days before she died.

Last January, the couple announced that they had separated after 32 years of marriage. However, they never legally divorced. The split could not be finalized until the couple lived apart for 12 months--Edwards' death on December 7 occurred one month shy of the requirement.

Last July, Edwards opened up to the Today show about her failed marriage.

"Did I waste my time in these years? Have I thrown this part of my life away? I decided that I didn't, that maybe I didn't get the same things out of it I expected to, or that I thought I was at the time. But when I look back, there's really lots of blessings that I've had," she said.
