A KaLightoscope Christmas At Louisville's Galt House (PHOTOS)

PHOTOS: Insane Christmas Display At Louisville Hotel

Just in time for the holidays comes Louisville, Kentucky's newest Christmas tradition: KaLightoscope. The Christmas spectacular opened before Thanksgiving, but is understandably popular right around the holidays (the festival is open through January 3rd).

The festival is being held at Galt House, a hotel most often known for being a celeb stomping ground during the Kentucky Derby. Travelers can opt for a hotel package of one night stay and admission to the spectacular starting at $129.

Insanity ensues with a life-sized gingerbread village, Santa, and--what else?--KaLightoscope, a 16,000 square-ft pavilion that houses 12 sections with lighted holiday sculptures, some up to 24 feet tall. It's a kitschy ordeal, sure, but it's just festive enough to get our attention.

Of course, there are numerous hotels around the country with awesome holiday displays, but the pure outlandishness of the Galt House's Kalightoscope just may take the cake.
