Wide waistbands on pairs of underwear are becoming a rising trend in the underwear sphere. While this look is mostly sporty, it does more than just give the dudes wearing them a more masculine look. Longer measurements have been implemented in elastic departments, which should appeal to men that are more, shall we say, brand-conscious and on-trend. The wide waistbands are also more convenient for guys who want an additional contoured fit, which slims the waistline. Part II of The Underwear Expert's Wide Waistband feature focuses on boxer briefs and trunks that give a little extra boost in your overall look - which is a bonus for most anyone.

One of the first brands to highlight wide waistbands back in 2007 was - who else? - Calvin Klein with their Steel Collection. The current Intense Power Collection has black waistbands with the brand name in intense colors.

papi also has a similar look with their Cotton Modal Collection, which is featured on The Underwear Expert website in the Brazilian Trunk style. But of course, papi's brand name is placed right smack dab in the middle of the waistband.

Discover and N2N look very similar to the Calvins - like the Intense Power Trunk, the Deer Boxer changes the waistband's name in order to complement the underwear body. The Deer Boxer has a gorgeous, super colorful print, with each letter of "DISCOVER" in a different color. Pairing them with a black elastic, this makes the color truly pop.

N2N Luxe Trunk has a dual-tone finish, with an overall sexy look. "N2N BODYWEAR" is on the front of the waistband and stretches across the band, going from hip to hip.

The Saxx Fiesta Boxer, papi, Funky Trunks, and Jor are some of the limited boxers with a colorful waistband.

Which boxers do you think you'd try out? Do you prefer wide, colorful waistbands, or plain black ones with unique details? Let us know!
