Former President Bill Clinton hit Greater Nanticoke Area High outside Wilkes-Barre Tuesday to campaign for Congressman Paul Kanjorski, one of many endangered incumbent Democrats in Pennsylvania. Hazleton Mayor Lou Barletta is mounting a strong effort to win this seat. The Mayor is known for his anti-immigration stance, which he publicized through many appearances on the former Lou Dobbs show when it ran on CNN.

Clinton railed against Republicans who dug the country into a hole and are now complaining about the situation they created. He recited a statistic that maintains the country has regained 70% of its lost income.

Congressman Kanjorski challenged everyone who questions his positions to research his voting record. He attacked Lou Barletta for raising taxes, bringing toxic waste into Hazleton, someone he called a "failed Mayor." "The reason I'm running for office is because when we need something I can pick up the phone and call the President."
