Popular NYC Subway Performer Draws Hilarious Group Of Dancers At Penn Station

If you've ever stood on a New York City subway platform, you know that seeing a performer and a lingering crowd isn't the least bit unusual. Oftentimes you'll also be treated to an impromptu performance by a bystander (or a few), and more times than not, it's a sight to see.

If you've ever stood on a New York City subway platform, you know that seeing a performer and a lingering crowd isn't the least bit unusual. Oftentimes you'll also be treated to an impromptu performance by a bystander (or a few), and more times than not, it's a sight to see.

Whether it's a little girl who hypes up the crowd by jumping around with strangers or a talented rock band you've never heard of -- if you're really lucky it might be U2 incognito -- you're bound to run into someone with enviable energy.

And I don't know about you, but I love coming across these free spirits who have no shame making a party wherever they go.

What's shown in the video below, taken at Manhattan's busy Penn Station, is certainly one of those classic and funny moments.

The featured act, Verbal Ase, is a regular performer at Penn Station. I've seen this entertaining beat boxer on various occasions playing some popular tracks -- and it shouldn't come as much of a surprise that he tends to draw a crowd. This particular summer night, he also attracted some dancing fans. (Just wait till you see the young boy who pops up at the :25 mark!)
