Police have moved in on a group of homeless protesters who took over a vacant hotel in San Francisco this weekend, KTVU reports.

The protesters, who call themselves Creative Housing Liberation, said in a statement that they are bringing awareness to the many vacant properties that go unused in San Francisco, despite the city's number of homeless.

The protest was part of Sunday's World Homeless day.
