Motherhood knows no nationality, race or religion -- it is a universal experience that connects hundreds of thousands of women around the world. But it doesn't mean we can't take a moment to honor Latina moms specifically.

While #ILoveMyMomBecause was trending on Twitter most of Sunday, we decided to ask our audience to tell us how their mothers have shaped their life by tagging pictures or tweets with #ILoveMyMamiBecause. We received some beautiful pictures and stories -- ranging from the bravery of immigrant mothers who brought their kids to the U.S. to lessons in loving and embracing their roots.
