Adam Pally On His 'Late Late Show' Hosting Job: 'Everybody Hated It'

According to Adam Pally, neither the network nor the crew were particularly thrilled with his guest hosting of "The Late Late Show" during its transition between former host Craig Ferguson and current host James Corden.

"Everybody hated [it]," he insisted with a laugh in a Monday conversation with HuffPost Live. "No, it was totally true."

The "Slow Learners" actor recalled how the camera operators had "to take the ferry from Staten Island at like 3 in the morning" in order to arrive in time to film the CBS morning shows. By the time afternoon rolled around, they were exhausted.

"You're, like, firing jokes and there's no audience, so the whole time they're just pissed off they're not on that ferry going back to Staten Island, so it was a difficult room," he told host Ricky Camilleri.

The reaction from the network didn't differ much from that of the straight-faced camera crew.

"I got some feedback from CBS," Pally said. "They did not like it."

But the "Happy Endings" alum thinks that, in actuality, the executives "didn't care."

"I really don't think they even knew it was on the network," he admitted. "I'm totally serious. I really think if you asked most CBS executives, they would be like, 'I don't know what you're talking about. I know that this show went from this person to this person, and I don't know what you're talking about.'"
