Can you believe it is August already? Me neither. August is a notoriously slow month for the art world here in New York but Artlog has found some great events coming up this week. If you haven't already seen it, head over to the MoMA for Experimental Women in Flux. On Wednesday night, good things come in pairs with the double opening of Two-Way Street and the Annual Summer Invitational, both at Jonathan LeVine Gallery. This Thursday the Guggenheim brings back their Dark Sounds concert series with Andrew Bird and Ian Schneller performing in the museum lobby. We have another joining of the art and music worlds on Saturday with the weekly PS1 Summer Warm Up. Just in case its too hot to be outside, we also suggest seeing It Is Life at MINUS SPACE, opening Saturday night. Finally, to round out the weekend, grab a date and snuggle up while watching Nosferatu the Vampyre at BAM.
