Gorillaz Co-Creator Reportedly Confirms A Return With New Art

Gorillaz Confirming A Return Is Better Than Sunshine In A Bag

There's a new reason to be happy and feeling glad.

Gorillaz artist Jamie Hewlett has reportedly confirmed the animated band's return. After posting new artwork of band members Noodle and Murdoc, Revolt reports Hewlett responded to a fan's comment asking about the band coming back by saying, "Yes. Gorillaz Returns."

Check out the new artwork here:

Musician Damon Albarn has hinted at "reactivating" Gorillaz in previous interviews, but now it appears both of the creators are on board. News of a comeback is great for fans, especially since Albarn previously told The Guardian more music from the band was "unlikely."

A new album would mean the first since 2011's "The Fall." Despite not making new music together, the band hasn't been total strangers. Albarn performed with Gorillaz alums at last year's South By Southwest.

Albarn's representatives declined The Huffington Post's request for comment, while Hewlett did not immediately respond.
