He's Ba-a-ck! Stelter Launches New TV Blog At The NYT

2007-09-20-TVDecoder.JPGColor us not-surprised: Brian Stelter has...a blog! About TV! It was only a matter of time, really, but here it is, soft-launching tonight circa 8pm: TV Decoder. The NYT decodes the Decoder like so:

TV Decoder is a guide to television — what's on, who's watching and why it matters. Brian Stelter covers the day's on-screen and behind-the-scenes developments, with insights into Nielsen ratings and the machinations of the TV industry.

Okay! Guess that will be about TV news, then &mdsah; well, we know thanks to two posts about Dan Rather — and we hope that it will be about Gossip Girl. So far CBS is the most popular tag, but that "Kiss on the Lips" party should probably change that.

So: Watch that space to watch Stelter watching the telly, and decoding it. So far we are pretty sure that the secret message in Gossip Girl was that it's totally acceptable for grownups to go shopping at Forever 21.

Additional: Also launching yesterday was the new blog by Paul Krugman, "The Conscience of a Liberal," named after his upcoming book in a neat bit of synergy — and already #7 on MEL.
