Pitchfork Music Festival 2010: Extra Tickets Go On Sale Tomorrow

Extra Pitchfork Tickets Go On Sale Thursday

The 2010 Pitchfork Music Festival is officially not sold out.

Starting at 11 a.m. Thursday morning, Pitchfork will release extra tickets to all three days of the festival, which runs from this Friday, July 14th through Sunday the 16th.

Three-day passes to the festival have been sold out since shortly after they went on sale, and Saturday and Sunday all-day passes also flew off the shelves. Craigslist is swamped with offers of tickets, many at significantly inflated prices.

The official tickets will be on sale on Ashland Avenue at Union Park (between Lake and Madison). Tickets are first-come, first-serve and cash only. And Chicagoist foresees a crowd:

We can guarantee that there'll be a lengthy line long before 11, so you'll want to be there as soon as you can drag yourself out of bed. The early bird gets the worm and all that. And you should probably to start practicing that sick voice now in case you need to call in to work with a (cough, cough) cold.

Headliners at the festival include LCD Soundsystem, Modest Mouse, Broken Social Scene and the recently reunited Pavement. Indie favorites like Wolf Parade and Major Lazer, hip-hop legends Big Boi and Raekwon, and local acts like Cave round out the line-up.

Friday will even feature a comedy stage, with the likes of Chicago native Hannibal Buress, Daily Show correspondent Wyatt Cenac and "Wet Hot American Summer" nerd-throb Michael Showalter performing.

Check out the complete line-up and schedule for Pitchfork 2010.
