Elayne Boosler- Former eBay CEO Meg Whitman has spent $64 million for the California Governor's seat 6 months before the election. Psst Meg, wait 'til five minutes before the election, THEN start bidding like crazy!
Donna Mackey Tobias- I bet she wishes there was a "Buy It Now."
Nora Suzie Harper- Better yet, set up automatic bidding.
Elayne Boosler- The automatic bidding comes after the election.
Janet Wilson- Meg should have learned that in eBay 101 -- that's how I won most of my auctions.
Elayne Boosler- The lobbyists need to know what her reserve price is.
Roni von Henschen- It also seems she has misrepresented her product.
Elayne Boosler- She's really ruining the prices of all the other candidates currently for sale.
Wanda Sherman Graham Testerman- And inflated the shipping price, so typical.
Elayne Boosler- Well, one sold just like her four years ago and it didn't work at all....
Ray Leglu- Once she wins it, she's just going to put it in the closet.
Elayne Boosler- She doesn't even have any feedbacks we can check.
Ray Leglu- Maybe the Neg Megs were over a year ago.
Elayne Boosler- Or maybe she has no experience. Just because I've driven a car doesn't mean I know how to fly a plane.
Carrie White Hairdresser- She could've received more votes if she gave that money to a poor bankrupt California.
Elayne Boosler- Now now, candidates aren't here to help us.
Candie Helton- Does Meg realize that it is not just the Governor's "seat" or physical "chair" that is going to be open? Does she realize she will have to leave it there and sit in it?
Shonda Baird- She should have gone to Ikea ... silly, silly Meg.
Delana Vickers- I'm going to bid just to get the price up a bit.
Carolyn Perkins- Maybe Meg can use Paypal for the California budget deficit.
James Tall- If I were a Californian, I'd vote for her. Then California could auction off things they don't need, like Kate Gosselin.
Jana Whiteman- But why would anyone want to buy Kate Gosselin?
James Tall- With that new hair, maybe BP could plug up the leak with her.
Jana Whiteman- Well, in that case, I think I've got an old Paris Hilton around here someplace from a few years back that would probably sell on eBay, too. (Maybe Golden Palace will snap it up?)
Peter Levitan- My 11-year-old, watching the umpteenth millionth commercial for one of them, asked if we like the boy or the girl. We said they both suck.
Elayne Boosler- If I were running against Meg, I would show only one commercial over and over. That shot of her clapping wildly, giving a standing ovation to Sarah Palin. That's all you need to know.
John Bouton- She and Steve Poizner are trying to out-accuse each other of liberalism, yet both profess to be Christian. The irony is they (and other conservative Christians) don't see that Jesus was the ultimate liberal.
Arthur Marriott- Meg's bad enough...but unfortunately Carly Fiorina makes her look like Mother Teresa. Isn't it time we had some Craigslist candidates?
Elayne Boosler- We need a better class of people running. Where are the candidates from Sotheby's or Butterfield's?
Jeremy James Brent- I've done well with eBay overall. However, every once in a while, you end up with something that turns out to be a piece of crap ripoff. I have a feeling that this will be one of those and there is no return policy on it, or even a PayPal guarantee.
Elayne Boosler Unfortunately, insurance is not available on this item.
